At the Ballpark:  Saturday should be a fun night as the Phillies hold their annual Photo Day and all kids will receive a W.B. Mason Phillies collectible truck.  The Photo Day promotion allows fans to go down to the field pre-game and take pictures of the team and coaches as they walk around the infield and outfield.

On Sunday afternoon, all kids receive a Galapagos Gang beach towel.  What's the Galapagos Gang, you may be asking?  This video offers some explanation.  Honestly, they all terrify me a little.

1970 Topps #99
1970 Topps Appreciation:  I'm easing my way back into these post-All-Star break series preview posts with just one solo card for this post.

Bobby Pfeil appeared in 62 games for the 1969 Mets and in 44 games for the 1971 Phillies.  As a member of the Amazin' Mets team, Pfeil hit .232 while occasionally backing up at either third or second base.  The Mets traded him to the Phillies in May 1970 as the player to be named later in the deal that had sent Ron Allen to New York.

Pfeil would spend the entire 1970 season playing for Triple-A Eugene, getting the call to the Phillies in mid-April 1971. Playing every position except pitcher and center field, Pfeil hit a respectable .271 for the club, but it was to be just his second and final season in the Majors.

The Phillies traded him to the Brewers in March 1972, but not before he'd earn his one and only Phillies card within the 1971 Phillies Photo Card team set.
