Phillies 4, Braves 3
Game 86 - Wednesday Afternoon, July 6th in Philadelphia
Record - 40-46, 4th place, 11 games behind the Nationals
One Sentence Summary: Freddy Galvis hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to complete an impressive come from behind win and seal the sweep against the Braves.
What It Means: After floundering throughout much of June, the Phillies find themselves with a four game win streak and having won 10 of their last 13 games. They'll hope to keep up their winning ways with a four-game series in Denver before the All-Star break.
What Happened: The Phils tied up this game twice (in the 5th and in the 6th) before Galvis gave them their first lead of the ballgame with his 8th home run. Maikel Franco homered (17) for the fourth game in a row. Jeremy Hellickson pitched well again (6 innings, 1 earned run, 4 hits) and Jeanmar Gomez earned his 23rd save.
