Monday Night, May 18th
Citizens Bank Park - Philadelphia, PA
25-23, 2nd Place, 7 games behind the Braves

One Sentence Summary:  Bryson Stott hit a clutch, two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth to give the Phillies a one-run lead and the eventual win.

What It Means:  Kind of a spoiler, but Stott's home run was likely the only highlight from this entire series with the Reds.

What Happened:  Andrew Painter was spotted a two-run lead in the first with the benefit of only one hit (Trea Turner's lead-off double) followed by two walks and sacrifice flies from Edmundo Sosa and Adolis Garcia.  Painter would let the Reds tie it up 2-2 in the top of the second.  He'd depart after six innings, and just 69 pitches, having allowed the two runs on three hits.  Alec Bohm hit a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth, but the Reds responded again with single runs in the seventh and eighth.  Stott hit his huge home run with two outs in the eighth, scoring pinch-runner Garrett Stubbs, running for Bohm who had singled to open the inning.  Jhoan Duran threw a perfect ninth to record his eighth save.

Featured Card:  Here's Stott's card from the team-issued Kids Club / Club 215 set.

Transaction:  The Phillies swapped out Felix Reyes (of) for Otto Kemp (of), optioning Reyes to Lehigh Valley.  Kemp has been hitting well for the IronPigs, while Reyes was batting .158 (6 for 38) for the Phillies.
