2015 Topps Archives #102 Ken Giles

Phillies 3, Marlins 1
Game 93 - Saturday Night, July 18th in Philadelphia
Record - 31-62, 5th Place, 20 games behind the Nationals

One Sentence Summary:  The Phillies scored early and hung on to down the Marlins, 3-1.

What It Means:  The Phillies could sweep the Marlins with a victory on Sunday afternoon.

What Happened:  First inning RBI singles from Ryan Howard and Domonic Brown gave the Phils all the runs they'd need.  Chad Billingsley got the win, but his outing was cut short when he left after five innings and 70 pitches with right elbow discomfort.

Featured Card:  Ken Giles hit 100 on the radar gun for the first time this season, striking out Adeiny Hechavarria in the eighth with the tying run in scoring position.  This is Giles' card from the recently released Topps Archives set.

Don't forget to vote in the poll (on the left sidebar) to help determine the design to be used for the 2016 Chachi set!
