Phillies 6, Marlins 3
Game 92 - Friday Night, July 17th in Philadelphia
Record - 30-62
One Sentence Summary: The fine pitching of Adam Morgan and Jeff Francoeur's three-run pinch-hit home run sealed the 6-3 win for the Phillies.
What It Means: On the day it was announced that Aaron Nola would make his Major League debut this Tuesday, the Phillies opened up the second half of the season with a much needed win.
What Happened: The Phillies took advantage of several Marlins miscues in this game. In the decisive eighth inning, Maikel Franco broke a 2-2 tie when he lofted a ball to the outfield that was completely misplayed by center fielder Cole Gillespie. Odubel Herrera scored the Phillies third run of the game on the play, and a few batters later Francoeur hit his home run.
Featured Card: Morgan continues to impress, as he cruised through 6 1/3 innings allowing two runs on four hits. This is one of four cards in my collection featuring Morgan with the Triple-A IronPigs.

Can we vote for the 2013 Choice Lehigh Valley IronPigs design? :-)
That would make an excellent write-in candidate!
