1985 Topps #265
1985 Topps Traded #83T
1985 Topps Appreciation:  At the risk of angering the good folks over at The Shlabotnik Report, I once again have to reference the June 1989 trade that sent Juan Samuel to the Mets for Lenny Dykstra and Roger McDowell.  I wrote about the trade in last season's first Mets series preview post.

Dykstra doesn't appear in the 1985 Topps set, but this is McDowell's rookie card (or his XRC if you're into that kind of thing) and Samuel's first flagship set appearance after receiving a rookie card in the 1984 Topps Traded set.

I thought of you during pre-game introductions on Monday and folks on Twitter were wondering why Juan Samuel received the loudest boos of any Phillies.
