Record - 3-4
One Sentence Summary: The offense skipped this game as the Phillies were shutout 2-0 in the Mets' 2015 home opener.
What It Means: Chase Utley is hitting .091 (2 for 22) and Ryan Howard is hitting .167 (4 for 24) to start the season. The rest of the offense hasn't been so hot either with the exception of Freddy Galvis and Cody Asche.
What Happened: Aaron Harang pitched well again, allowing a run in his six innings of work but Jacob deGrom pitched even better for the Mets. The offense managed seven singles in this game, five of which came from Galvis and Asche.
Featured Card: Ben Revere made an amazing catch in this game, making a running, diving catch in the fifth to rob Curtis Granderson of extra bases. Revere has settled in well to his new left field position, although his bat has been slow to get started (.143 average - 4 for 28) along with the rest of the team.
