Red Sox 7, Phillies 6
Spring Training Game 20 - Sunday Afternoon, March 22nd in Fort Myers
Record - 9-10-1
One Sentence Summary: A late inning surge wasn't enough for the Phillies as they fell to the Sox, 7-6.
What It Means: After a semi-promising start to the spring schedule, the Phillies have now lost six of their last eight games.
What Happened: Jerome Williams allowed five runs (four earned) on ten hits in his three innings of work. Cameron Rupp and Cord Phelps both had two hits a piece, while Andres Blanco and Jordan Danks each knocked in a pair of runs.
Featured Card: With his two doubles in this game, back-up catch Rupp raised his average to .412. He's a lock to make the team as the back-up to Carlos Ruiz unless the Phils pull off a trade for another catcher prior to the start of the regular season. Rupp had his share of cards in last year's Panini-issued sets, including the Prizm insert card shown here. He shared a Heritage card last year with Ethan Martin and he's still looking for his first solo Topps Phillies card.
