Phillies 3, Twins 0
Spring Training Game 21 - Monday Afternoon, March 23rd in Clearwater
Record - 10-10-1
One Sentence Summary: Cody Asche and David Buchanan led the Phillies to a 3-0 win over the Twins.
What It Means: I find this hard to believe, but according to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, yesterday's game marked the first time two Hall of Famers have managed against each other in a baseball game. Ryne Sandberg faced off against Twins manager Paul Molitor.
What Happened: Asche hit his third home run of the spring and Buchanan threw five scoreless innings allowing just two hits.
Featured Card: For the second year in a row, Asche will be the Phillies opening day third baseman. I'd like nothing more than to see him have a break-out season and provide the team with the offense they've lacked at that position for years. Maybe then he'd actually get a few more baseball cards.
