Variations/Rarities: I'm not aware of any variations available from this set, although until Steve left his comment to this post I had no idea that cards for Orr and Herndon had been issued.
Also See: I'll eventually link to the second edition set here. I originally wrote about this set after I had first purchased it at the ballpark during the 2011 on-deck series on April 2, 2011.
Trivia: This set marked the first official appearance of Michael Martinez on a Phillies baseball card. It was all downhill from here.

David Herndon and Pete Orr were included in a version "1b" as I have it listed. I bought this on Opening Day as a 36-card set and then later in the first half of the season with those two added and no one removed, so it became a 38-card set.
Thanks for the info Steve. I had no idea those cards existed, and now I need to start searching eBay for a 38-card first edition set!
