Braves 3, Phillies 1
Game 119 - Tuesday Night, August 13th in Atlanta
Record - 53-66, 4th Place, 19 1/2 games behind the Braves
One Sentence Summary: The Phils were outmatched by the Braves in a 3-1 loss in Atlanta.
What It Means: I'm not sure if it means a whole lot at this point. I guess it was cool to see new acquisition Casper Wells get his first start in center field in this game? Maybe I'm reaching?
What Went Wrong: Ethan Martin, a native of Georgia, had a so-so performance against his former favorite team. Martin fell behind too many batters and allowed three runs on six hits in his five innings of work. The Phils managed their only run in the sixth on an RBI single from Domonic Brown. Brown tried to stretch the hit into a double and was thrown out at second. It's been that kind of a year for the team.
Featured Card: Occasionally, I have absolutely no idea what card to post for a certain game, and I need to reach back and get creative in order to . . . Ooh look! New Ginter!
