2013 Bowman Chrome Autographed Rookies #ACR-DR Darin Ruf

Nationals 5, Phillies 1
Game 92 - Wednesday Night, July 10th in Philadelphia
Record - 45-47, 3rd Place, 7 1/2 games behind the Braves

One Sentence Summary:  Cliff Lee surrendered four solo home runs and Gio Gonzalez shut down the offense, as the Nationals won, 5-1.

What It Means:  The Phils still have a chance for the series win tonight.

What Went Wrong:  Lee threw four bad pitches and all of them sailed over the fence.  The offense went 0 for 7 with runners in scoring position and Gonzalez allowed only a run on six hits in his seven innings of work.  The lone run came on Darin Ruf's first home run of the year.

Featured Card:  I haven't featured a non-Chachi Ruf card since way back at the close of Spring Training at the beginning of April.  He appears on a few certified autograph issues this year, including this Bowman Chrome card.

Field Report:  Jenna and I were there last night and we're just not having much luck this year.  We cheered when Ruf hit his home run and we enjoyed our water ice and nachos (in that order), but the rest of the outing was a bust.  My personal 2013 Phillies record is now 2-5.

I was there too--Section 132. Any chance you were near there?

It was pretty much a blah game. And I picked up the photo card set and, well, blah as well. Maybe the game influenced my view of them. Hopefully we get a version 2.1 at some point.

We sat in Section 326 last night. Our usual tickets are on the first base side, but we're leaning towards moving to the third base side next year.

Too many hot games in direct sunlight for us!

Ouch. 2-5 isn't much fun.

On the bright side, Section 326 is just an extra digit away from Section 36!
