Phillies 2, Dodgers 1
Game 116 - Late Tuesday Night, August 9th in Los Angeles
One Sentence Summary: Cliff Lee out-pitched and out-hit the Dodgers as the Phillies took the second game of the series, 2-1.
What It Means: The Phillies improved to 76-40. They are 36 games over .500 for the first time since their 1977 season.
What Went Right: Lee (12-7) pitched eight shutout innings, allowing just four hits while striking out ten. He added a solo home run in the seventh, his second of the year, which turned out to be the winning run.
Jimmy Rollins had two hits and drove in the team's first run with an RBI-double in the third.
Featured Card: This is Lee's base card from the 2011 Topps Lineage set. As far as I know, Topps has yet to release a 2011 baseball card for Lee in his home uniform. I'm not sure why this bugs me, but it does.
