1967 Topps Pin-Ups #14 Johnny Callison

I'm a little overloaded with professional obligations these days (aka work crap), so I haven't had time to post last night's game summary to celebrate another Phillies win over the Dodgers.  I figure I'll get caught up with all three Dodgers games following tomorrow afternoon's matinee.

In the meantime, I'm working on putting together a package for Burnell, a Phillies baseball card collector and reader of this blog.  Burnell recently sent me an amazing package of oddball, autograph and relic Phillies cards spanning from 1965 to 2006.  Each glorious oddball card deserves its own post, so stay tuned for future postings featuring the Bounty from Burnell.

The 5" x 7" poster pictured here was one of the larger items I received.  Johnny Callison is the only Phillie featured within this 32-card set included as inserts within packs of 1967 Topps cards.

The Standard Catalog notes these posters are "almost never found in true 'Mint' condition" since they had to be folded four times in order to fit into packs of cards.  Frankly, I could care less about its condition - it's an awesome addition to my collection.

When the Phils (or anyone) beat the hated Dodgers it's always a cause for celebration.
