No save opportunity tonight, courtesy of Carlos Ruiz and Antonio Bastardo. The Phils beat the Dodgers, 7-2, earning the series split and wrapping up the West Coast trip with a respectable record of 5-2. Chooch went 2 for 3 with a 2-run homer - his 3rd of the season. In his second Major League start, Antonio pitched into the 6th inning, surrendering only 2 earned runs.
Shane Victorino (his 5th) and Ryan Howard (his 17th) added solo home runs. Jimmy Rollins (dropped to 6th in the order) went 2 for 3, and Chan Ho Park pitched 3 scoreless innings of relief. The Phils roughed up old friend Randy Wolf (6 runs in 7+ innings), who took the loss.
Tomorrow's off-day is followed by a 3-game set in New York with the 2nd place Mets, and I am extremely excited about the 7:10 start time!
