The Phillies traded Nick Punto, Carlos Silva and Bobby Korecky to the Twins on December 3, 2003, for Eric Milton. (Punto was a personal favorite of mine at the time, and I'm glad he's put together a nice little career with Minnesota). In 2004, Eric led the Phils in wins (14), starts (34) and strikeouts (161), going 14-6 with a 4.75 ERA.
Eric left via free agency following the '04 season, signing a 3-year deal with the Reds. He was injured all of 2008 and came to Spring Training in 2009 with the Dodgers as a non-roster invitee. So far this year, Eric is 2-0 (in 3 starts) with a 3.14 ERA.
