1993 Notable: Tommy finished 6th in the NL Cy Young voting. In May, he went 5-0 with a 1.45 ERA. Tommy started 2 games of the NLCS against the Braves and was the winning pitcher in the clinching Game 6. He was roughed up in World Series Game 4, surrendering 7 runs and not making it out of the 3rd inning.

On May 23, 1991, Tommy Greene became just the 8th pitcher in Phillies history to throw a no-hitter when he accomplished the feat in Montreal against the Expos. Unfortunately, shoulder trouble prematurely ended his career. After outdueling Greg Maddux in NLCS Game 6, Tommy would only pitch in 21 more Major League games, winning just 2 of them.
