Philadelphia Phillies  14
Pittsburgh Pirates  10

2022 Topps Update #US153
Spring Training Game 14
Friday Afternoon, March 6th
LECOM Park - Bradenton, FL
Record - 5-8-1

One Sentence Summary:  The Phillies exploded with a nine-run fourth inning and Rafael Marchan had four RBIs in this 14-10 romp over the Pirates.

What It Means:  The World Baseball Classic is getting all the attention, and these games seem like an afterthought.

What Happened:  This game was actually tied heading into the ninth inning, but the Phillies scored four unanswered runs off Pirates' reliever Michael Darrell-Hicks.  Marchan and Paul McIntosh both had a pair of hits in the win, with Marchan collecting an RBI double early in the fourth inning and a bases-clearing double later in the fourth inning.  Otto Kemp, Felix Reyes and Bryan De La Cruz also had key doubles in the game.  Rene Pinto hit a three-run home run in the ninth to break the game open.

Featured Card:  I'm fresh out of new Marchan cards to feature, so here's a card of Pinto, the other catcher in the game with a big hit.

Camp Head Count:  69
