One Sentence Summary: The Phillies closed out the month of May with a whimper, barely putting up a fight in this 4-1 loss to the Mets.
What It Means: Again, let's quickly move along. The Phillies were 10-16 in May, although it seems as if they were 0-26. Kyle Schwarber batted .115 (10 for 87) for the month, and seven of his 10 hits were home runs. That's not great. Brandon Marsh and Trea Turner both batted .208, J.T. Realmuto batted .228. The sole offensive bright spot was Bryce Harper who batted .315 (14 for 42) with three home runs. As Matt Gelb Tweeted, 25-30 is the team's low mark of the season (until Thursday's game) and they've scored seven runs in their last four games.

What Happened: Aaron Nola's record dropped to 4-4 as he allowed four runs on four hits in six innings of work. The Phillies were never really in this game. Edmundo Sosa accounted for their only run with a solo home run in the third. The Phillies offense was 0 for 7 with runners in scoring position.
Featured Card: Old friend David Robertson pitched a scoreless ninth, earning his 10th save for the season with the Mets, and his second in two days.
