2022 Topps Heritage #319 |
Game 56 - Wednesday Night, June 8th in Milwaukee
Record - 27-29, 3rd Place, 9 1/2 games behind the Mets
One Sentence Summary: Aaron Nola dominated and the Phillies offense came to life in this 10-0 blowout win over the Brewers.
What It Means: This was a welcome laugher of a game and the second 10-0 win for the surging Phillies in a week.
What Happened: Nola went eight innings, allowing four hits while striking out six. Kyle Schwarber and Bryson Stott both had four hits, with Stott falling a triple short of the cycle. Stott, Rhys Hoskins, Odubel Herrera and Bryce Harper all homered for the Phillies.
Featured Card: It's a great sign that I've already featured a few of Nola's 2022 baseball cards so far this season, as it means he's pitching well and the team is winning. This is his 1973 Topps-inspired card from the Topps Heritage release.
