Game 9 - Sunday Night, April 11th in Atlanta
Record - 6-3, 1st Place, 2 games ahead of the Braves and Mets
One Sentence Summary: In a game that went back and forth between the two teams, the Phillies ultimately prevailed over the Braves, 7-6, in a controversial and extremely close play at the plate in which Alec Bohm scored the eventual winning run in the top of the ninth.
What It Means: The Phillies escaped Atlanta without getting swept and they begin a four-game series in New York tonight against the Mets.
What Happened: With the score tied 6-6, Bohm doubled to start the ninth, went to third on a Jean Segura ground out and raced home on a shallow fly ball hit by Didi Gregorius. Bohm was called safe at the plate and replay review maintained the call.
The top of the Braves line-up - Ronald Acuna, Jr., Ozzie Albies and Freddie Freeman - continued to damage the Phillies, going a combined 5 for 13 in this game with a home run for each of them. Despite a rough start from pitcher Matt Moore (5 innings pitched, 5 runs on 9 hits), the Phillies offense chipped away with Rhys Hoskins and Gregorius both homering in the fourth and Bryce Harper homering in the sixth to break a 5-5 tie. The bullpen once again performed well with Hector Neris throwing a perfect ninth for his second save.
Featured Card: Bohm was at the center of the controversy, so it feels right to feature his recently released In Action card, as inspired by the original 1972 Topps set.

Transaction: In the first roster move of the season, the Phillies placed Archie Bradley (rhp) on the 10-day injured list with an oblique injury and recalled JoJo Romero (lhp). There's no timetable yet for Bradley's return and hopefully this is a short-term thing.
