Once the price calms down a little, I'll be looking to add McCutchen's 2020 Topps photo variation card, showing him sporting the 1979 burgundy throw-backs the Phillies wore last July.

He first appeared in the 2005 Topps Updates & Highlights set as a Pirates' draft pick, before returning for a 12-year (and counting) run in the Topps flagship sets.

His Chachi Friendly Encounters card uses a photo taken with my son Doug at the Philly Baseball Card show held in September 2019.

The price is dropping on that SP card, finally under $40 for the most part--and I am waiting for it to drop further too. Considering there should be as many of that card as there are of the Hoskins, Schmidt and Carlton SPs, and they can be had around $5-$10, it should keep falling. I recently picked up the SSP card of Cutch crossing home plate for $40. It's rare that the SSP is selling for the same or less than the SP.

There's still a ton of these cards on eBay, but it seems as if the price is still hovering around $40. Going to wait this one out a little longer . . .
