Phillies 5, Rockies 4
Game 44 - Friday Night, May 17th in Philadelphia
Record - 25-19, 1st place, 1 1/2 games ahead of the Braves
One Sentence Summary: Andrew McCutchen, Bryce Harper and Cesar Hernandez had clutch RBI hits, supporting Cole Irvin's second big league start and sending the Phils to a 5-4 win.
What It Means: This was a much-needed bounce back win, halting a three-game losing streak.
What Happened: Irvin (2-0) went six innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits, but it was his 10-pitch at-bat in the second inning that most people were talking about after the game. Irvin worked a walk in that at bat and then McCutchen hit a two-run home run (6) to tie the score at 2-2. Hernandez broke the tie in the fourth with a double to score J.T. Realmuto. Harper provided a few insurance runs with a two-run double in the fifth.
Featured Card: McCutchen is only hitting .242, but he's provided steady defense in the outfield and a bunch of timely hits. This is his card from the recently released Topps Big League set, and I'm pretty sure this is another example of Topps photoshopping him into a Phillies uniform.
Transactions: The Lehigh Valley bullpen shuttle continued with Enyel De Los Santos getting called back up and Austin Davis sent back down.

Good call on that McCutchen card--he's wearing a home uni, but that green wall behind him doesn't exist anywhere at CBP.
