This blog recently achieved a milestone anniversary, as my first post came back on March 30, 2009. Back then, I hadn't yet met Ben who would be born a little over a year later on the day Roy Halladay pitched a complete game shutout against the Braves. I wasn't going to let Ben's milestone 9th birthday go by without celebrating it here, and he recently reminded me that I would owe him a new "Ben is Nine" custom Chachi card. As he requested, I've used a picture from his visit to the Grand Canyon from this past summer for his special card.
Of course I'm biased, but he's such a cool kid. Whether he's making slime or working on a project or letting his amazing imagination run wild, he's constantly impressing me and I couldn't be prouder of him. He's smart and funny and best of all, kind and generous. He's still swimming and playing tennis and his bedroom is still a hot mess. He's got so much to look forward to, and I'm excited to see what this kid does next.
