Giants 10, Phillies 2
Game 120 - Late Friday Night, August 18th in San Francisco
Record - 43-77, 5th place, 30 games behind the Nationals
One Sentence Summary: Zach Eflin was hit hard and the Phillies offense had just four singles in this 10-2 loss to the Giants.
What It Means: The Giants are an awful team and they're making these wins against the Phillies look easy.
What Happened: Eflin surrendered six runs on seven hits in five innings of work. Matt Moore held the Phillies to two runs in 7 1/3 innings. The two Phillies run were courtesy of a Freddy Galvis single to left in the eighth.
Featured Card: It's been somewhat of a lost season for Odubel Herrera (see below) and one of the Phillies players included the most in 2017 baseball card sets hasn't had his cards featured that much in these game summary posts. Still, he's been one of the team's more consistent hitters throughout the season, especially in the second half. Here's his card from the recently released Topps Chrome set.
Transaction: Herrera was placed on the 10-day disabled list prior to this game with a strained left hamstring. The Phillies will carry just 24 players on their roster until Sunday's game.
