2016 Topps Bunt Set Completed, Thanks to @RosterJenga

1993 Upper Deck Denny's
Grand Slam #18
On Tuesday, my son and I received an envelope from Tony Burbs of Wrigley Roster Jenga fame.  The most important card in the envelope was a 2016 Topps Bunt #185 Johnny Bench, which was the last card Doug needed to complete his 2016 Topps Bunt set.  Within 90 seconds of leaving the envelope, the Bench card had been inserted into its home within the binder housing Doug's 2016 Topps Bunt and Topps Opening Day sets.

Topps is doing something right with these low-end sets, and I hope the trend continues.  I asked Doug why he liked the Topps Bunt set so much and his answers were fairly simple - he knows all the players in the set (even the old guys) and the set was easy to complete.  It wasn't about design or gold foil or scarcity for him; rather it was about coolish cards that were relatively attainable.  So there's your free marketing feedback for the 9-year-old kid demographic, Topps.

Tony also included some other fun cards, including this card featuring two versions of Dave Hollins, both in regular and ghostly hologram form.  Thanks again Tony for completing Doug's set and making his day!

Topps would do well to take notes from Doug - that's what collecting is truly all about. Glad that he (and you) liked the cards!
