Phillies 8, White Sox 3
Game 152 - Wednesday Night, September 21st in Philadelphia
Record - 69-83, 4th place, 20 games behind the Nationals
One Sentence Summary: The Phillies stunned Chris Sale and the White Sox with an offensive barrage and an 8-3 win.
What It Means: This was very unexpected. Sale had his worst outing of the season, allowing six runs on seven hits in just four innings of work.
What Happened: Tommy Joseph went 2 for 5 with three RBIs, including a two-run home run (21) off Sale in the first inning. Maikel Franco and Cameron Rupp also drove in a pair of runs a piece. Jared Eickhoff won his 11th game, limiting the White Sox to three runs - all on solo home runs.
Featured Card: Joseph is now one home run behind Ryan Howard and Franco (22) for the team lead.
Field Report: I attended this game as part of a work function, so that does that even really count?
As discussed in this post, I'm taking a poll on how collectors track baseball card collections.
Please vote in the poll on the sidebar if you haven't already. Thanks!
