Previously serving as the pitching coach for the Brewers (2003-2008) and Rangers (2009-2015), Maddux is in his first year in that role for the Nationals.  The Nationals pitching staff ranks near the top of ever major pitching category among all National League teams.

It's funny... it seems like we heard a hell of a lot more hype about Strasburg as a 5-3 rookie than we're hearing now about the 10-0 veteran.

The Phillies had no clue against him yesterday. That's not saying much, but I was definitely impressed.

The Phillies always seemed to get the wrong brother:

Mike instead of Greg Maddux
Mark instead of Al Leiter
Jeremy instead of Jason Giambi
Mike instead of Nolan Ryan (heh-heh)
