Phillies 6, Marlins 5
Game 32 - Sunday Afternoon, May 8th in Miami
Record - 18-14, 3rd place, 2 games behind the Nationals
One Sentence Summary: Wearing pink uniforms in honor of Mother's Day, the Phillies came from behind again to win against the Marlins, 6-5.
What It Means: The Phils took the series and find themselves just two games out of first place. Following this game, the Phillies had an 11-3 record in one-run games.
What Happened: Tyler Goeddel's and Andres Blanco's back-to-back RBI doubles in the eighth gave the Phillies a 6-5 lead which would be held by the stellar bullpen duo of Hector Neris and Jeanmar Gomez. Gomez earned his 11th save.
Aaron Nola went six innings, allowing three runs on six hits while striking out five.
Featured Card: This is Blanco's card from the team's latest photo card set. This is the sixth Phillies card Blanco has received, and I'm officially out of his Phillies cards to feature in game summary posts if he's the star of the game again. I didn't really see that coming.
