Number of Cards: 40
Card Size: 4" x 6"
Description: For the first time since the 2010 second edition set, the team issued photo cards feature a full border. A blueish-grayish border surrounds a color photo, with the player's number, name and position in the bottom left. A Phillies batting helmet appears on every card in the bottom right. The horizontal card backs feature biographical information and complete career statistics.
How Distributed: The set has been available for sale at Citizens Bank Park since the exhibition Futures Game played on April 2nd. Sets can be found at Phillies Newstands and at souvenir locations throughout the ballpark for $5.
Complete Standard Checklist: The cards are unnumbered, but I've presented them below ordered by uniform number.

First Appearances (16): Bailey, Bourjos, Burriss, Eickhoff, Goeddel, Gomez, Hellickson, D. Hernandez, Hinojosa, LaFromboise, Lough, Morgan, Morton, Oberholtzer, Sweeney, Velasquez
Returning Players (12): Asche, Blanco, Franco, Galvis, Garcia, C. Hernandez, Herrera, Howard, Nola, Ruf, Ruiz, Rupp
As of now, there's no one in the One and Done category as everyone in the set is still currently within the Phillies system. This could change of course as the season progresses. As of this writing, the following players in the set have yet to suit up for the Phillies in 2016: Asche (DL), Bailey, Garcia, LaFromboise, Morgan, Mujica and Sweeney. (Lough joined the team on April 18th.)
The checklist creators for this set had the unenviable task of choosing which players to include and it appears as if their deadline was right before March 29th. That was the day the Phillies sent nine players to the minors, including Morgan, Garcia, Sweeney and LaFromboise. Mujica and Lough were sent out the next day on March 30th.
Of the 25 players on the opening day roster, only Cedric Hunter and Hector Neris are omitted from this set.
The First Appearance designation is for players who have never before appeared within a Phillies team issued set. These players may have already appeared on other Phillies baseball cards.
UPDATE 4/19/17: I've updated the One and Done designation for those four players for whom this marks their one and only Phillies baseball card.
