One Sentence Summary: Jerome Williams couldn't keep the Braves off the board in the 8th, and a fine pitching performance from Jerad Eickhoff was wasted in this 2-1 loss.
What It Means: Just when I thought the Phillies had perhaps found another potential bullpen arm for 2016, Williams blows it.
What Happened: Eickhoff pitched seven strong shutout innings, allowing just five hits. Williams gave up the crucial hits in the eighth, but the offense is equally to blame for this loss as they managed only three hits. Darnell Sweeney went 0 for 4 to lower his average to .161 and couldn't track down the fly ball that ultimately led to the Braves winning run.
