Phillies 7, Dodgers 2
Game 86 - Late Tuesday Night, July 7th in Los Angeles
Record - 29-57, 5th Place, 18 games behind the Nationals
One Sentence Summary: Chad Billingsley and Jeff Francoeur starred in the 7-2 win over the Dodgers.
What It Means: Billingsley won against his former team, and it was his first win since April 10, 2013. Elbow surgeries had sidelined the pitcher for most of the past two seasons.
What Happened: Billingsley pitched six innings, allowing just two runs on six hits. The bullpen trio of Luis Garcia, Ken Giles and Jonathan Papelbon pitched in their intended roles for one of the few times this season and held the Dodgers scoreless over the final three innings. Francoeur hit a two-run double in the third and a solo home run in the seventh.
Featured Card: Billingsley only has two Phillies baseball cards to date, and they can be found in the team's first and second photo card sets available for sale at the ballpark.
