1985 Topps #310
1985 Topps #235
1985 Topps Appreciation:  Today's look back at Phillies-related cards found within the 1985 Topps set pairs two players from the legendary 1980 World Champions.

Manny Trillo played two seasons in San Francisco, coming to the Giants in 1984 after stops in Cleveland and Montreal.  He struggled during those two seasons, hitting just .238, and he was traded to the Cubs in December 1985 for Dave Owen.

Garry Maddox of course began his 15-year career playing three full seasons with San Francisco.  He was 17 games into the 1975 seasons with the Giants when the Phillies acquired him for Willie Montanez.  I wrote more about this trade in a Giants-Phillies series preview post in May 2013.
