Phillies 6, Giants 4
Game 58 - Sunday Afternoon, June 7th in Philadelphia
Record - 22-36, 5th Place, 9 games behind the Mets
One Sentence Summary: The Phillies pulled off another come-from-behind victory, avoiding the sweep and defeating the Giants, 6-4.
What It Means: The Phils went 3-6 on the nine-game homestand and they'll now head to Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Baltimore for eight games.
What Happened: With the score tied at three in the seventh, Jeff Francoeur hit a pinch-hit two-run double to give the Phillies the lead for good. Maikel Franco hit a solo home run in the eighth for the all important insurance run.
Featured Card: On the day the Phillies gave away a t-shirt bearing his likeness, Ken Giles recorded the final two outs of the seventh and pitched a perfect eighth. Francoeur's big hit gave him the win in this game. Thanks in part to his successful rookie campaign in 2014, Giles has popped up in quite a few Topps releases this year. His card from the Topps Gypsy Queen set uses the same exact photo as his card from the Topps Heritage set.
