Mets 5, Phillies 4 (10 Innings)
Game 48 - Tuesday Night, May 26th in Flushing
Record - 19-29, 4th Place, 9 games behind the Nationals
One Sentence Summary: The Phillies mounted an impressive and improbable late-inning comeback only to watch the Mets walk-off with a 5-4 extra inning win.
What It Means: I honestly have no idea. I don't understand the game and I don't understand the process. I'm just going to bitch and moan because the Phillies don't have a plan.
What Happened: Down 3-0, the offense plated four runs in the eighth to temporarily take the lead. The big hits came courtesy of Ben Revere (two-run triple) along with Freddy Galvis and Maikel Franco who each drove in runs with singles.
Relievers Jeanmar Gomez and Elvis Araujo couldn't keep the Mets off the board in the 10th.
Featured Card: Besides knocking in the Phillies fourth run of their big eighth inning, Franco made an incredible bare-handed play on a ball to end the bottom of the eighth and keep the game tied. This is his logo-less Rated Rookies card found within the 2015 Donruss set.
