Phillies 4, Padres 2
Game 145 - Wednesday Night, September 11th in Philadelphia
Record - 67-78, 3rd Place, 20 games behind the Braves
One Sentence Summary: Cliff Lee and Freddy Galvis helped deliver a 4-2 win over the Padres.
What It Means: I'd love to see the Phillies go on a tear and wrap up the next 17 games with a 15-2 record. That would give them a winning season, and send the team into the offseason with some pretty good vibes. It would also guarantee that Ryne Sandberg returns as manager next year.
What Went Right: Lee earned his 13th win with eight strong innings. He allowed just two runs on five hits while striking out nine. Galvis went 3 for 3 with a double, a solo home run in the fifth and a sac bunt in the eighth that gave the Phils a nice insurance run.
Featured Card: "2012 National Treasures doesn't count?" Dan inquisitively commented on this post last weekend. Yes. Yes, it does.
I read the comment, navigated over to the 'Bay, and with a few clicks here and a PayPal transfer there, the card featured here was mine. It arrived this afternoon, and I'm happy to add an on-card autograph of the Phillies future utility guy to my collection.

If you're finally going to start counting the MLBA-only sanctioned sets, then there's also 2012 Panini Signatures Series Game Ball #117 for Freddy Galvis. There's at least one other Panini Galvis autograph card -- I'll pass the info on to you once I confirm all the details.
Just confirmed the other one (really should've just waited to do this in all one post): rather than type it all out, here's a link the other card on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Freddy-Galvis-2012-Panini-Signature-Series-Autograph-117-063-299-Phillies-/310742382148?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item4859b07644
Thanks for the head's up!
