Spring Training Game 18 - Wednesday Night, March 13th in Tampa
Record - 7-10-1
One Sentence Summary: Cliff Lee became the latest starting pitcher to suffer a shaky outing as the Yankees defeated the Phillies, 6-2, under the lights in Tampa.
What It Means: Another day, another struggle.
What Went Wrong: Lee allowed five runs (two earned) on six hits in 2 2/3 innings. The Phillies defense committed four more errors.
Featured Card: No matter what the outcome of tonight's game was, I decided at some point this afternoon I was going to feature a card of former Phillies farm system director/general manager/manager Paul Owens. Nicknamed "The Pope" due to his resemblance to Pope Paul VI, I couldn't help but think of Owens throughout the past few days during the papal conclave in Vatican City.
