Phillies 6, Reds 2
Game 137 - Wednesday Afternoon, September 5th in Cincinnati
Record - 66-71, 3rd Place, 18 1/2 games behind the Nationals
One Sentence Summary: Supported by home runs from Erik Kratz and Chase Utley, Roy Halladay notched his ninth win in a 6-2 victory over the Reds.
What It Means: The Phillies went 17-12 in August and they're now 3-2 in September. If not for the 9-19 June mark, maybe these games would be meaningful right now.
What Went Right: Halladay pitched into the eighth inning, allowing just a run on eight hits. Kratz had the big blow, and the catcher now has 9 home runs and 24 RBIs in his 38 games. Utley's homer was his 10th, giving him double digits in home runs for the ninth straight year, despite missing significant time this year with bad knees.
Featured Card: I am fresh out of Kratz cards, so Utley gets the honor for this game post. Sadly, there haven't been many opportunities this year to feature any of Utley's 2012 baseball cards.
