The Phillies made one trade this past week that completely flew under the radar. If not for
this blurb from MLB Trade Rumors, I would have missed it too. Brian Bocock was traded by the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs to the Indianapolis Indians (the Triple-A team for the Pirates). There's no indication the Phillies even received anything back in return.
Bocock made it into six games last year with the Phillies as a September call-up. He went 0 for 5 at the plate, but he managed to score twice as a pinch-runner.
I promised a Bocock Chachi card
way back at the end of last year's N.L.D.S., and I'm finally delivering. It only took the guy getting traded for me to wrap up his Chachi card.
