Spring Training Game 6 - Thursday Afternoon, March 3rd in Fort Myers
One Sentence Summary: In his second spring start, Cole Hamels pitched four shutout innings and allowed just a lone hit as the Phils beat the Sox, 2-0.
What It Means: Hamels looked good today. If not for Mike Cameron's double in the third, a quartet of Phillies pitchers - Hamels, Scott Mathieson, Michael Stutes and Juan Perez - would have no-hit the Red Sox.
Top Hitters: Ben Francisco added two more hits and third baseman Jeff Larish accounted for both Phillies runs with a 2-run double in the second.
Top Pitcher: Colbert Richard Hamels.

Other Stuff: Only a few of the Phillies regulars took the long bus ride to Fort Myers . . . Wilson Valdez played some center field in the latter innings of the game . . . There's been no improvement to Chase Utley's bum knee, and he's no closer to playing his first game of the spring . . . Pre-game, Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro, Jr. called the Red Sox "the best club in baseball." I believe there are 25 players who are going to head north with the Phillies who would disagree with that statement. Although I'd definitely be in favor of a rematch of the 1915 World Series this October.
