Happy birthday to Raul Ibañez! The Phillies' left-fielder hit 2 home runs last night (18 & 19 on the season), on his 37th birthday, to lead the club over the Padres, 10-5. Rookie Antonio Bastardo pitched 6 strong innings to win his first Major League game.Greg Dobbs added his 2nd home run in the 5th inning, and it seems as if he's being rewarded with a start in right field tonight. The Phils go for the rare West Coast, 3-game sweep tonight behind lefty J.A. Happ.
