1993 Stats: As the club's primary pinch-hitter and John Kruk's back-up at 1st base, Ricky played in 90 games, and had a .289 average with 5 home runs and 18 RBI.
1993 Notable: His 16 pinch hits led the club. One of his pinch hits was a game-winning, 10th inning RBI single against the Cardinals on May 8th. Ricky was the Phils' starting DH in Games 1 and 2 of the World Series.
How Acquired: Drafted in the 1st round of the June 1983 draft.

How Departed: Granted free agency, October 17, 1994 (Signed with the California Angels)

Only Darren Daulton had been with the Phillies longer than Ricky Jordan when the team won the '93 NL pennant. Although some thought he would never make it, Ricky played 8 seasons in the Majors, and had a lifetime .281 average. In 2007, Ricky was inducted into the Reading Phillies Hall of Fame.
