Amazingly, 1993 was David's first full year in the bullpen, after primarily being a starting pitcher for the first 5 seasons of his career. David is a fine example of a cast-off from another team (acquired by GM Lee Thomas) coming to the Phils with no fanfare and little to no expectations.
