Fast forward to today . . . Larry Andersen and Scott Franzke call a great Phillies game. I loved muting the Fox broadcast during the Postseason and listening to Scott and L.A. call the games over the radio. (If given the choice, I probably would have muted the Fox broadcast and listened to Chachi call the games).
L.A. enjoyed two separate stints with the Phillies, from 1983 to 1986 and again from 1993 to 1994. Although he pitched in 64 games for the Phils in 1984, Donruss, Fleer and Topps all decided to exclude him from their sets. I've at least righted Topps' wrong with the card at left, another original. The bigger picture is from L.A.'s 1985 Donruss card.
