Blue Jays 7, Phillies 1
Spring Training Game 6 - Wednesday Afternoon, February 28th in Dunedin
Record - 1-5
One Sentence Summary: Other than another home run from Scott Kingery, there weren't many Phillies highlights in this 7-1 loss to the Blue Jays.
What It Means: I'm deep within a work black hole and I won't emerge until late March. Catching an inning or two of these games on the radio everyday provides a temporary respite.
What Happened: In his first start of the spring, Vince Velasquez allowed two runs on three hits over 1 2/3 innings. Mark Leiter, Jr. looked sharp in two scoreless innings of work. Kingery's solo home run in the third inning was the only offensive output from the Phillies.
Featured Card: My wife Jenna and I decided we needed some Topps Heritage in our lives, so we counted our pennies and placed an order for a few boxes. I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of the shipment so that we can open some packs! Topps Heritage started with the 1952 Topps design back in 2001 and they're now all the way up to the 1969 Topps design in 2018.
Camp Head Count: Still holding at 63.
