Major League Teams: Philadelphia Phillies 2020-24; Los Angeles Dodgers 2024
Postseason Appearances: Philadelphia Phillies 2022
One of the most consistent and important relievers during the Phillies march to the World Series in 2022, Connor Brogdon was used sparingly in 2023 and hardly at all in 2024. The lanky pitcher won a spot on the team's opening day roster for the fourth straight season and was active for the first four games before being designated for assignment on April 2nd. A spot on the 40-man roster was needed for Ricardo Pinto, signed late in the spring and deemed ready for the majors. Brogdon appeared in three of the team's first four games, pitching to an 0-1 record with a 27.00 ERA. He was the losing pitcher against the Reds on April 1st, giving up the winning runs in his last action with the Phillies. Dealt to the Dodgers on April 6th for minor leaguer Benony Robles, Brogdon would pitch in just one game for Los Angeles, the eventual World Champions.
