Tonight, the Phillies selected third baseman Alec Bohm as their top pick and third overall in the annual amateur player draft. Bohm, 21, is a junior from Wichita State and he hit .332 with 15 home runs and 52 RBIs this past season. Most early reports I've read on him are saying he projects long-term as either a first baseman or a corner outfielder.
As has been the tradition the past four drafts, Bohm earns a Chachi Almost card and hopefully we'll see him in red pinstripes soon.
