It seems odd to think Ranger Suarez could be pitching somewhere other than Philadelphia in 2026, and as of late December he was still a free agent, looking for the highest bidder for his services.  Suarez missed the first month of the season with a back injury, and after a brutal season debut on May 4th, he settled in and pitched at least six innings in 18 of his next 25 starts.  Suarez was 12-8 for the season with a 3.20 ERA in 157 1/3 innings pitched.  Despite the missed time, he reached a career high with 151 strikeouts.  Suarez was the winning pitcher in the only 2025 postseason game the Phillies won, NLDS Game 3 against the Dodgers.  If Suarez doesn't come back to the Phillies, he accumulated a 53-37 record with the club in parts of eight seasons with a 3.38 ERA and 705 strikeouts.  In 11 postseason games, Suarez was 4-1 with a 1.48 ERA in 42 2/3 innings pitched.
