What Happened: Nick Castellanos doubled home the first two runs of the game in the first. In the third, Odubel Herrera rolled into an RBI groundout and Alec Bohm followed that with an RBI double to make it 4-0, Phillies. The Nationals crept back into the game in the sixth when Jose Bell hit a two-run home run off Ranger Suarez to make it a 5-3 game. Bryce Harper was 3 for 4 in the game with a pair of runs scored, and Bohm also had three hits.
Suarez pitched a decent game, giving up three runs on six hits in 5 2/3 innings of work. Connor Brogdon, Seranthony Dominguez and Brad Hand pitched the final 3 1/3 scoreless innings, with Hand picking up his second save of the year.
