2005 Topps All-Time Fan Favorites Refractors #115 Bob Dernier

Phillies 4Marlins 3
Game 31 - Saturday Night, May 7th in Miami
Record - 17-14, 3rd place, 2 1/2 games behind the Nationals

One Sentence Summary:  The Phillies scored three times in the eighth inning to defeat the Marlins, 4-3.

What It Means:  The come from behind win snapped a three-game losing streak.

What Happened:  The Phillies' fourth and ultimately their winning run scored when first baseman Chris Johnson dropped the ball on what should have been an inning-ended double play.  Odubel Herrera and Cesar Hernandez contributed RBI singles in the eighth, made possible by Andres Blanco's pinch-double after a 12-pitch at-bat.

Featured Card:  Thanks to everyone who sent along well wishes recently.  I'm confident that everything is going to get back on track and I look forward to returning to the welcome routine of daily posting.  Bob Dernier approves.
